Anand joined Brex in January 2022 and played a key role in developing and launching Brex Assistant, the company’s flagship AI product. With over two decades of experience in B2B product development at technology firms, Anand has a strong background, having spent more than six years at Facebook in various senior roles, including Vice President and Head of Business Products.
His career began with an internship at Microsoft in India, and he spent a remarkable 15 years with the tech giant, rising through the ranks to become a partner, director, and ultimately serving as the Head of Product Management based in Seattle, USA.
In his new role at Brex, Anand emphasises the importance of maximising synergies between the teams responsible for product development and those focused on customer engagement. He aims to strengthen the connections between the company and its customers, creating a more robust feedback loop that involves both customer-facing teams and product-building teams.
Brex, founded over five years ago, underwent staff cuts and ceased serving traditional small businesses. However, the company has reported significant growth, claiming over 300% growth in software revenue year-to-date and onboarding more than 20,000 customers. Anand’s leadership and focus on enhancing collaboration and communication within the company suggest a strategic approach to furthering Brex’s success in the market.
