Dara Khosrowshahi graduated from Brown University in 1991, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in electrical engineering.

In 2017, Khosrowshahi assumed the role of CEO at Uber, succeeding the previous CEO and Co-founder, Travis Kalanick, who had resigned.

Mark D. Okerstrom stepped into the role of CEO at Expedia after Khosrowshahi’s departure to lead Uber, resulting in Khosrowshahi forfeiting stock options previously granted to him under a long-term employment agreement with Expedia.
