Dollar Tree announced on Friday that Chief Operating Officer Mike Creedon will take on additional responsibilities to lead merchandising and supply chain operations for both Dollar Tree and Family Dollar.

According to Dollar Tree CEO and Chairman Rick Dreiling, Creedon’s expanded role aims to deliver a top-tier store experience for customers, with full end-to-end accountability.

Reporting to Creedon will be Dollar Tree Chief Merchandising Officer Rick McNeely, Family Dollar Chief Merchandising Officer Larry Gatta, and Chief Supply Chain Officer Mike Kindy.

This move is part of a series of C-suite changes at Dollar Tree, including Creedon’s appointment as COO in September 2022. The company has undergone significant transformations following changes in its board leadership, including the addition of Dreiling as CEO in January of the same year.

Dreiling emphasised the dedication of Dollar Tree’s leadership team and Creedon’s pivotal role in driving operational strategies forward.

Despite reporting a 5.4% increase in Q3 net sales, Dollar Tree acknowledged challenges in Family Dollar’s performance. Dreiling mentioned plans to review the Family Dollar portfolio to align with the company’s transformative vision, along with ongoing efforts to optimise the supply chain.

Before joining Dollar Tree, Creedon held leadership positions at Advance Auto Parts, Tyco International, and ADT Security.
