Spiegel’s educational journey began at the Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in Santa Monica. While still in high school, he showed a keen interest in design, taking classes at the Otis College of Art and Design and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. During this period, he delved into Photoshop and gained valuable experience through an unpaid sales internship at Red Bull. Subsequently, he gained admission to Stanford University but chose to leave in 2012 to dedicate his efforts to creating Snapchat, leaving his degree unfinished.

Snapchat, co-founded with classmates Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown, has since become a global phenomenon with approximately 191 million daily active users. Evan Spiegel continues to lead the company as its Co-founder and CEO. In 2016, Forbes recognised his substantial wealth, ranking him at #854 on the Forbes 400 list. Additionally, he contributes his expertise as a member of the Berggruen Institute’s 21st Century Council.
