Gap Welcomes Veteran from PepsiCo and Apple as Global CMO

Gap, Inc. announces the appointment of Fabiola Torres as the global chief marketing officer for its namesake brand. Torres brings extensive experience from PepsiCo, Apple’s Beats by Dre, and Nike to her new role, where she aims to build on Gap’s legacy of celebrating individuality and self-expression.

Torres, who most recently served as senior VP and CMO at PepsiCo, joins Gap as the brand’s CEO, Richard Dickson, continues efforts to revitalise the company. In her new position, Torres will oversee marketing, creative, visual merchandising, store experience, and operations, aiming to create a cohesive customer experience across all markets and channels.

In its fourth quarter, Gap’s namesake brand reported strong sales, with comparable sales rising by 4%, fueled by continued strength in women’s apparel, which has gained market share for the fifth consecutive quarter.
