Javier Olivan serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Meta, where he holds responsibility for the company’s business teams, infrastructure, and central products across its range of applications. Javier joined the organisation, originally known as Facebook, in 2007 and formerly held the role of Chief Growth Officer at Meta.

Before his tenure at Meta, Javier worked as a Product Manager at Siemens Mobile, leading a cross-functional team tasked with the development and market launch of mobile handset devices. Javier boasts a Master’s in Business Administration from Stanford University, as well as Master’s degrees in Electrical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Navarra. He actively contributes to the entrepreneurial ecosystem by serving on the board of Endeavor, a nonprofit organisation. Javier, who hails from a small Pyrenees mountain town in Spain, presently resides with his family in Palo Alto, California.
