Luca Maestri serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Apple, reporting directly to CEO Tim Cook. In his role as CFO, Luca is responsible for a wide array of critical functions within Apple, including accounting, business support, financial planning and analysis, treasury, real estate, investor relations, internal audit, and tax oversight. Luca’s association with Apple commenced in 2013 when he joined as the Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller. Since then, he has collaborated closely with the company’s senior leadership.

With a remarkable career spanning over 25 years, Luca has demonstrated his prowess in building and leading finance teams in globally prominent companies characterised by substantial operational scale and complexity. Prior to his tenure at Apple, he held the position of CFO at Xerox and Nokia Siemens Networks.

Luca’s professional journey embarked at General Motors, where he spent two decades in various finance and operational roles across the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe. During his tenure at GM, Luca played a pivotal role in establishing GM’s Asia Pacific operations, including significant manufacturing investments in China and Thailand. He later assumed the role of CFO for all of GM’s European operations, spanning across 45 countries with an annual net revenue of approximately $40 billion.

Luca is an alumnus of Luiss University in Rome, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics. He further pursued a master’s degree in Science of Management from Boston University.
