Mitel, a leading provider of business communications solutions, has announced the appointment of Simon Skellen as its new Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of International Region for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions.
Skellen brings over 25 years of experience in business communications to his new role, having held various leadership positions in sales across multiple markets. His appointment comes at a crucial time for Mitel as it continues to expand globally, particularly following its acquisition of Unify in 2023.
As a C-suite leader, Skellen will oversee Mitel’s sales strategy in the EMEA and APAC regions, excluding the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), which now has its dedicated sales team. His focus will be on driving growth, enhancing product capabilities, and strengthening partnerships to deliver value to Mitel’s customers and partners worldwide.
Commenting on his appointment, Skellen expressed his excitement to collaborate with Mitel’s global sales team and leverage his expertise to drive further growth across international markets. He emphasised the importance of seamless integration between Mitel and Unify teams and the commitment to supporting partners in capitalising on the benefits of the acquisition.

He reiterated Mitel’s commitment to becoming a top player in the enterprise Unified Communications (UC) market globally and praised Skellen and his leadership team for their contributions to achieving this goal.
Skellen’s appointment as a leader is part of Mitel’s broader strategy to strengthen its team, following significant changes in 2023, including the appointments of Charles-Henry Duroyan as COO and Head of M&A, Luiz Domingos as CTO, and Sophie Ames as EVP and Head of Human Resources Operations.
