Air India, the iconic Indian airline, has announced the appointment of Sanjay Sharma as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective June 10, 2024. Mr. Sharma, with more than three decades of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, and the real estate sectors, will report to the CEO & MD, Campbell Wilson.
Before joining Air India, Mr. Sharma served as the CFO of Tata Projects Limited. His illustrious career includes leadership roles at Tata Realty Infrastructure Limited, Deutsche Bank Group, DSP Merrill Lynch Limited, and Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific. He brings a wealth of expertise in financial management, investment strategy, and business development to his new role at Air India.
Mr. Sharma succeeds Mr. Vinod Hejmadi, who is retiring after more than three decades of service. Commenting on the appointment, Campbell Wilson, MD & CEO, expressed his pleasure at having Mr. Sharma join the leadership team and highlighted the company’s gratitude to Mr. Hejmadi for his long-standing dedication and contribution to Air India.
