Chime has announced the appointment of three senior executives to bolster its leadership team. Jeff Currier has been named Chief Technology Officer, Barkha Saxena as Chief Data Officer, and Sarah Wagener as Chief People Officer, each reporting to co-founder Ryan King.
Currier, a fintech veteran, will oversee Chime’s technology organisation and innovation initiatives. He joins from Galileo Financial Technologies and has previously held senior roles at SoFi, Amazon Web Services, Twitter, and Microsoft. Saxena will lead Chime’s data and AI efforts. She previously served as Global Chief Data Officer at McKinsey and Chief Data Officer at Poshmark.
Wagener, who joined earlier this year, brings experience from DoorDash, Pandora, Facebook, and Genentech.
Ryan King, Chime co-founder, emphasised the importance of these hires in advancing Chime’s technology stack and data-driven strategies to enhance member service and operational efficiency.
