Infosys CEO Assures Freshers’ Offers Will Be Honored Despite Delays

Infosys CEO Salil Parekh has confirmed that the company will honour all job offers made to freshers, despite changes in the onboarding schedule. His statement comes in response to reports of delays in onboarding 2,000 engineering graduates from the 2022 batch.

“Every offer we have given will be honoured, and everyone will join Infosys. We have adjusted some start dates, but there is no change in our approach,” Parekh told PTI.

The Bengaluru-based IT giant, which employs over 315,000 people as of June 2024, has faced criticism from the Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) for delaying the onboarding process. NITES filed a complaint with the Ministry of Labour and Employment, highlighting that the affected graduates, who received offer letters as early as April 2022, have faced unpaid pre-training programs, additional assessments, and prolonged uncertainty.
