Societe Generale Appoints Fouad Farah as Head of Global Banking and Advisory

Societe Generale has named Fouad Farah as the new Head of Global Banking and Advisory, succeeding Demetrio Salorio who is leaving the bank. Farah, who has over 25 years of experience in the bank’s Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) division, most recently served as Head of Global Markets, Americas.

In his new role, Farah will report to Co-Heads Anne-Christine Champion and Alexandre Fleury. He will maintain his positions on the Group Management Committee and the GBIS Executive Committee.

Farah’s responsibilities will include steering the strategic direction of the Global Banking and Advisory unit, advancing the bank’s asset-light model, and overseeing the integration of recent structural changes. He will also focus on enhancing the bank’s investment banking efforts and ESG initiatives.

Champion and Fleury praised Farah’s extensive expertise and his role in the bank’s ongoing transformation. They also expressed gratitude to Salorio for his years of service at Societe Generale.
