In 1986, Safra A. Catz earned her bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Catz embarked on her journey with Oracle Corporation in April 1999, eventually ascending to the role of President in 2004. In the same year, Oracle made a significant announcement: Larry Ellison would step down as CEO, with Safra Catz and Mark Hurd, both serving as Co-Presidents alongside her, being named as the new CEOs.

In December 2017, Catz secured a position on the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company, with her tenure commencing on February 1, 2018.

Her remarkable career achievements earned her recognition in various ways. Fortune Magazine ranked her as the 12th most powerful woman in business in 2009. Furthermore, an Equilar analysis published by Fortune identified her as the highest-paid woman among Fortune 1000 companies in 2011.
