Vectra AI, a leading provider of hybrid attack detection, investigation, and response solutions, has announced the appointment of Jeff Reed as its Chief Product Officer. Reed, a seasoned industry veteran with extensive experience in cloud security and networking, joins Vectra AI from Google Cloud.
This strategic appointment comes during a period of significant growth and momentum for Vectra AI, marked by the successful launch of the Vectra AI platform last summer and the introduction of Vectra MXDR, the industry’s first global, 24×7 open MXDR service designed to defend against hybrid attacks.
Hitesh Sheth, President and CEO of Vectra AI, expressed enthusiasm about Reed joining the team, highlighting his diverse expertise and rich experience. Sheth emphasised Reed’s role in helping Vectra AI redefine threat detection and response standards while assisting teams in managing and reducing their growing workloads.
In his new role, Reed will be responsible for driving strategy across all product-related initiatives at Vectra AI, including engineering, product management, product and technical marketing, and customer support. He will focus on eliminating siloed threat detection in today’s hybrid attack landscape, providing customers with AI-driven solutions to protect against cyber threats effectively.
Reed joins Vectra AI from Google Cloud, where he served as Vice President of Product for cloud security and previously led product development for Google’s Kubernetes Engine, Anthos, and serverless portfolio. Prior to his tenure at Google, Reed held senior positions at Cisco, including Senior Vice President of Product Management for Cisco’s US$16 billion enterprise networking business and Senior Vice President and General Manager of cloud and network security.
