Simon is a trailblazer in the renewable energy industry, where over the past 20 years, he's led and transformed businesses and markets to new dizzying new heights and embedded positive change in businesses and communities. As a senior member of the UK's Smart Metering Programme, he helped set up and deliver the first 5 million smart meter installations in the UK. As a Director of a Heat business, he brought renewable and affordable warmth to over 100,000 homes, and as the Director of a B2B Solutions business, he led the teams that delivered the UK's largest roof-mount solar project, the UK's largest grid-scale battery, and the UK's largest hospital decarbonisation programme, while developing both businesses to be the market leaders and the UK's largest providers of energy efficiency solutions and home solution retrofit installers. As Chief Commercial Officer at E.ON UK, Simon is decarbonising cities and industries through the creation of funding structures and new partnerships, tackling fuel poverty through creating affordable warmth, and driving community benefit and social value from large-scale projects, to create large numbers of highly skilled local jobs and apprenticeships. Simon is also a champion of diversity and sponsors ED&I communities for Women in Leadership, LGBTQ+, BAME, and Neurodiversity networks, helping E.ON win numerous national awards for diversity and inclusion. He is also a standing Board member of the Coventry City Council Strategic Energy Partnership, targeting Net Zero for the city, creating new skilled jobs and apprenticeships, alleviating fuel poverty, improving air quality, decarbonising businesses, creating affordable warmth and power through residential retrofit, and boosting the local economy through social value projects. Simon operates on an international basis, collaborating with international energy solutions businesses at E.ON, across 17 countries in Europe in E.ON's Energy Infrastructure Solutions business, through his passion for making a worldwide difference to the energy landscape, business growth, and improvement in people's lives.
