Zoopla, the UK’s second-largest property portal, remains confident and profitable, according to CEO Charlie Bryant and COO Rich Hayes. In an exclusive interview, the leadership discussed Zoopla's innovation, competition, and focus on empowering homebuyers and sellers with data-driven insights.

Bryant highlighted Zoopla’s unique appeal to younger, digitally savvy demographics and its dominance in London’s lettings market. Zoopla continues to prioritize consumer experience, leveraging data to enhance property listings and provide detailed insights about local areas and market demand. Hayes emphasized recent advancements, including improved search performance and meaningful use of AI, which aim to help users make informed property decisions.

Zoopla, part of the Houseful group owned by Silver Lake, is under no immediate pressure for strategic shifts. Bryant reiterated that while private equity investments eventually evolve, Zoopla’s parent company remains supportive of its long-term goals.

Addressing competition, Hayes dismissed claims that rival portals threaten Zoopla’s position, emphasizing its mission to grow the property market and deliver superior returns for agents. Looking ahead, Zoopla plans to expand its homeowner audience and introduce tools that connect agents with highly motivated sellers before properties hit the market.
